Putnam Rye Whiskey is distilled from 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley, aged to perfection in new American Oak barrels that have been seasoned, toasted and charred. When ready Putnam Straight Rye is then re-barreled in a variety of Red Wine barrels. The red wine imparts layers of sweetness, color and depth to an already silky smooth, yet elegantly spiced Rye. Bottled at 86 proof. Preferred serving: neat or over a large cube
